Oh come on, not the healthy child!

Well Lachie has always drunk a ridiculous amount of water i blame this on insecurity and his drink is like his teddy bear. After i got questioned intensively at the creache he goes to the other week i decided to take him to the doctor to rule out diabetes, i havnt been worried as he seems perfectly well.
The Doctor agreed with me that he seems fine, height, weight, intelligence, speech - everything actually seems fine, she decided to do some blood tests just to make sure and also commented that sometimes vitamin adn mineral defficiency can cause excess drinking, so off we trotted to the vampires office and with an extremely concerned looking Jaiden watching intently and giving a warning of "Dont hurt my brudda!" they syphoned my youngest without a single tear and we were on our merry way with a few extra stickers and a whinnie the pooh bandaid.
A few days later i got a call from the doc asking to go in and see her, so we went back and were told that his sugar levels are perfect however he does have iron defficiency and his Lymphocytes are way to high for someone who isnt visibly sick. She said it may have been an underlying infection or something so we would repeat the bloods and let me know if i should take him to the Paediatrician or not. So back to the vampire we went, re-syphoned this time with a few tears shed, but more in anger for being restrained than in pain from being spiked. A week came and went and no phone call so i assumed everything must be fine, then yesterday out of the blue the surgery rang saying i must come in and pick up a referal to the Paediatrician as the results havnt changed. So on the 14th we go back to the paed but strangely with out Jaiden this time, I hope that what ever this infection is that it has gone by then as frankly i cant face another series of doctors and appointments! As for the iron deficiency the only plausable thing i can come up with is he takes after me - we eat plenty of red meat and iron filled veggies, yet my iron levels have been steadily dropping for years... On the bright side, Jaidens iron levels are perfect!
