Remember me...?

So its come to my attention that I havnt blogged in nearly a year.
Wow talk about time flying. I think overall a lack of blogging is a good sign that I have been in a happier place, the kids have been healthy and happy, blogging also is a much harder task when only having use of an I phone for the best part of the year too as my home computer finally gave up and Hubby needs the lap top at work.
So, what has been happening?
Hubby and I have decided to throw all rationale out the window and move to the country. We have bought a gorgeously run down old farm house on 100acres of bushy scrub with grand plans to renovate and keep a few beef cattle.
The town is tiny, it has a pub,a church and a small school, which I feel will be better for the kids, Jaiden in particular will be more able to have his needs met in a smaller classroom environment. I will be commuting back to Canberra for the rest of the year for work, so the kids will finish the school year at their present school, although the drive will half kill me - they are all doing well and have settled in, Jai has somehow managed to have the same teacher 2yrs running which - considering how change effects him - has been a real blessing, and Id hate to tear him away from that stability at the same time as changing his home. Speaking of Jai, in the never ending quest to figure out what is going on with him, I think he may be hyperlexic - he can read fluently ANYTHING you throw at him, and understand individual words meanings, but he cant grasp the meaning of most of it when its put together. I suppose its to be expected with his learning pattern, he learned to talk before he could understand what he was saying too. Socially he is starting to have some more noticable issues, although he is always the social butterfly his friendships are short lived, I think his peers have reached the age where they notice some of his quirks and dont as readily accept them.
Sound related anxiety is definatly improving, if he is having a bad day or is anxious about something else then he will get bothered by noises, but otherwise he can talk himself through it. This has been a wonderful milestone :) Generalised anxiety is still lurking around every corner though, he gets frustrated with himself very easily too, he is a perfectionist and cant stand the way things he trys to draw or build dont look the same as the picture or like his brothers, He usually wants to create a 3D image of his latest obsession (ie Ben 10 Omnitrixs)and it wont stay on his wrist, words of comfort just get tantrum echoed back at you in a surprisingly sarcastic tone, he says he hates you and everything else in the room, often this is followed by 10 min or so of mewing like a cat, then back to "i wanna do art" and the cycle continues...
Liam is doing well at school and has lots of friends.
Lachie had a hard time settling in to pre-school due to his rather opinionated, stubborn, and unforgiving nature- we are getting there, slowly.. He is very intelligent but his attitude has been holding him back big time socially, I have to give his teacher credit for her kind persistance and patience!
Sophie is hilarious, she isnt talking yet, but she understands EVERYTHING that is said to her, she has no hair at all, but till insists on brushing her head when I do my hair in the morning, and she has just figured out today that if you put the step stool next to the dining chair you can climb onto the table and give mummy a heart attack!
So that concludes my almost annual update, will try to visit everyones blogs more frequently and even update this one occasionally!
